On this day, NMBO researcher Nathan Kniefel went on a solo expedition into the woods in the Hubbard County area, looking not for Bigfoot, but for a camping spot for the night. He took the photo on the right admiring the scenery. It was not long until he noticed the trackway at the bottom of the picture.
The trackway consisted of 5 large human-like prints heading across a small clearing and dissapearing onto a nearby game trail. Nathan followed the tracks to and from their heading, but as this was a camping trip, he did not have any research material with him outside of a camera and the snow itself. Not wasting the opportunity, Nathan dug out a spot for his tent and documented everything he could. The tracks were heading south, coming from the north. They appear to stop for a moment, with the tracks being side-by-side. Then they continue across the clearing and down the hill onto a game trail. No further evidence was found or heard throughout the night as reported by NMBO researcher Nathan Kniefel.
Nathan's tent, along with his track way and the unkown trackway above it. Notice the difference in snow disturbance.
Using his hand length, Nathan was able to estimate the size of the unknown print to be between 16.5 inches and 24 inches.
Nathan's trackway on the left, unknown trackway on the right. Notice the disturbance of snow on the left trackway.
Trackway from the north, heading south to the clearing (to the camera).
Tracks come to a stop and sit side by side before the clearing. Camera was out of focus, not known to Nathan when recording video evidence.
Game trail south of the clearing where the tracks dissapeared and could not be found again.
